Develop a Character Dynamic
Have you ever asked yourself, “How can I build connection with others through art? Where should I even begin to create my own characters?”
The iconic duo, AKA main characters are often the ones that appear and speak the most throughout the story and it builds up to the story's highlight as their personalities clash. These examples include, Tom and Jerry from the popular animation; Batman and Robin in the movie Batman 4; Billy and Mandy in the cartoon The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.
Throughout the class, I will share step-by-step method of planning and creating characters using the references and techniques I've developed throughout the years.
While I will show and teach my style of drawing, we will go over the basic method such as how to form poses, color theory and combination, composition, simple animation techniques, and most of all, developing a personality together so that at the end, you will be able to make them come vividly to life using your own stylistic way
This course is for anyone who is interested in creating simple characters for storytelling, whether it be comics, animation, or simply creating your own character.
No matter what level you are in, everything starts from a blank canvas and I am here to help guide you through the process.
By the end of this course, you will be able to conceptualize and manifest characters in your own style, something that is not already established by other authors.
As you start to put yourself out there, you will begin to attract wider audience who are invested in your characters just as much as you are.

Hello! I go by DoiDuh and I'm a self-taught artist/animator born and raised in Los Angeles, California.
I have been drawing since I can remember and only found my spark around 2018. What came out of that were my two characters, Peter and Alex, which have reached other like-minded individuals who saw the potential I saw in them.
As a student who has attempted following the traditional education path and working in the industry, and as someone who didn't have the opportunity that many others have, I have realized that art in its core is about the artist themselves, and it's a beautiful thing that is often forgotten or taken away from us.
